Standpoint Family plugin

Version 1.2, 1 October 2026 (connection log). Version 1.1 and 1.0, 1 October 2026.

The Standpoint Family plugin works out child costs, a fair share split and maintenance arrears inside ChatGPT and Claude. This section covers only the plugin. The Standpoint Family app is covered by our Privacy Notice.

What the plugin receives, and what happens to it

When you use the plugin, ChatGPT or Claude sends it only what is needed for the sum: the costs and their categories, short names you give a cost (such as "swimming lessons"), each parent's net monthly income, amounts the child already gets, the maintenance order amount, its start month and yearly increase, and the payments made by month. It never asks for names of people, ID numbers, contact details or your chat history.

What we do record, and why

For each use of the plugin we record only:

We use this only to count how often the plugin is used and to spot problems. It holds nothing about you and cannot be linked to you. If something goes wrong, our server log notes a technical error code, never what you typed.

Our server log also notes technical details of each connection from ChatGPT or Claude that is not a calculation, such as the protocol version, the type of app and how long the server took to answer. These connection messages carry nothing you type, and the log never holds your IP address.

Your IP address is used for at most one minute, in scrambled (hashed) form and only in the server's memory, to stop the plugin being flooded with requests. It is never written down or kept.
